Campaigns and concepts that are truly refreshing

Sometimes child abuse is only visible to the child suffering it.

A new campaign for a child welfare organisation The ANAR (Aid to Children and Adolescents at Risk) Foundation in Spain has created an advertisement that can only be seen by children. The campaign has been designed to help abused children reach for help. The outdoor poster sends an offer to abused children without alerting their abusers, even if they are walking together. Kids under four feet, three inches can see bruising on a child’s face in the poster, along with ANAR’s hotline number and copy that reads, ‘If somebody hurts you, phone us and we’ll help you.’

Adults (anyone above four feet) only see a child with the line ‘Sometimes child abuse is only visible to the child suffering it.’

The ad is designed to empower kids, particularly if their abuser happens to be standing right next to them.

Something worth thinking is, how long will it be before toys companies start using this technique to advertise to kids?

Here’s the clip below.
